Walter) Engelbr. & T.C. Harr. within certain demarcated areas (OJ L 245, 22.9.2022, p. 14, ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/reg_impl/2022/1629/oj). established measures for the containment of Ceratocystis platani (J.M. Walter) Engelbr. & T.C. Harr. ("the specified pest") within certain demarcated areas of the Union, as well as the list of areas in the Union subject to those measures.(2)Since the adoption of that Regulation, Italy carried out surveys pursuant to Article 19(1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/2031 in certain demarcated areas of its territory, established for the eradication of the specified pest. However, those surveys have shown that the eradication of the specified pest in those demarcated areas is no longer possible.(3)Consequently, Italy should be allowed to apply measures for the containment of that pest in those demarcated areas of its territory.(4)Annex I to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1629 should be therefore be amended accordingly.(5)The measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed,HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:
