Commission Regulation (EU) No 349/2011of 11 April 2011implementing Regulation (EC) No 1338/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council on Community statistics on public health and health and safety at work, as regards statistics on accidents at work(Text with EEA relevance)THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION,Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,Having regard to Regulation (EC) No 1338/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 December 2008 on Community statistics on public health and health and safety at workOJ L 354, 31.12.2008, p. 70., and in particular Article 9(1) thereof,Whereas:(1)Regulation (EC) No 1338/2008 established a common framework for the systematic production of European statistics on public health and health and safety at work.(2)Pursuant to Article 9(1) of Regulation (EC) No 1338/2008, implementing measures are necessary to determine the data and metadata to be supplied on accidents at work covered in Annex IV to that Regulation as well as to determine the reference periods, intervals and time limits for data provision.(3)Confidential data sent by Member States to the Commission (Eurostat) should be handled in accordance with the principle of statistical confidentiality as laid down in Regulation (EC) No 223/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 March 2009 on European statisticsOJ L 87, 31.3.2009, p. 164. and with Regulation (EC) No 45/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2000 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by the Community institutions and bodies and on the free movement of such dataOJ L 8, 12.1.2001, p. 1..(4)A cost-benefit analysis has been carried out and evaluated in accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 1338/2008.(5)The measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the European Statistical System Committee,HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:
