Commission Regulation (EC) No 182/2008of 28 February 2008amending Regulation (EC) No 1146/2007 adopting the plan allocating to the Member States resources to be charged to the 2008 budget year for the supply of food from intervention stocks for the benefit of the most deprived persons in the Community THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community,Having regard to Council Regulation (EC) No 1234/2007 of 22 October 2007 establishing a common organisation of agricultural markets and on specific provisions for certain agricultural products (Single CMO Regulation)OJ L 299, 16.11.2007, p. 1., and in particular Article 43(g) thereof,Whereas:(1)With a view to the significant rise of food prices during the second half of 2007, the financial resources put at the disposal of the Member States for the annual distribution plan of 2008 in the final budget were higher than the resources foreseen in Commission Regulation (EC) No 1146/2007OJ L 257, 3.10.2007, p. 3.. These newly available resources should be allocated to the Member States on the basis of their applications and needs communicated according to Article 1(1) and (2) of Commission Regulation (EEC) No 3149/92 of 29 October 1992 laying down detailed rules for the supply of food from intervention stocks for the benefit of the most deprived persons in the CommunityOJ L 313, 30.10.1992, p. 50. Regulation as last amended by Regulation (EC) No 1127/2007 (OJ L 255, 29.9.2007, p. 18)..(2)Regulation (EC) No 1146/2007 should therefore be amended accordingly.(3)The Management Committee for the common organisation of agricultural markets has not delivered an opinion within the time limit set by its chairman,HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:
