COMMISSION REGULATION (EC) No 1833/94 of 26 July 1994 amending Regulation (EEC) No 3130/78 determining intervention centres for olive oil

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community,

Having regard to Council Regulation No 136/66/EEC of 22 September 1966 on the establishment of a common organization of the market in oils and fats (1), as last amended by Regulation (EC) No 3179/93 (2), and in particular Article 12 (4) thereof,

Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 2754/78 of 23 November 1978 on intervention in the olive oil sector (3), as amended by Regulation (EEC) No 2203/90 (4),

Whereas Regulation (EEC) No 2754/78 establishes the criteria applicable for determining intervention centres for olive oil; whereas, in compliance with those criteria and in order to improve the functioning of intervention in Greece, the distribution of the intervention centres in that country should be amended;

Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Management Committee for Oils and Fats,

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:

Article 1

The intervention centres for olive oil under the heading Greece in the Annex to Commission Regulation (EEC) No 3130/78 (5) are hereby replaced by the intervention centres in the Annex to this Regulation.

Article 2

This Regulation shall enter into force on the third day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Communities.

It shall apply from 1 July 1994.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
