AMENDING REGULATION ( EEC ) NO 950/68 ON THE COMMON CUSTOMS TARIFF

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES ,

HAVING REGARD TO THE TREATY ESTABLISHING THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC COMMUNITY , AND IN PARTICULAR ARTICLE 43 THEREOF ,

HAVING REGARD TO THE PROPOSAL FROM THE COMMISSION ,

HAVING REGARD TO THE OPINION OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT ( 1 ) ,

WHEREAS THE APPLICATION OF COUNCIL REGULATIONS :

- ( EEC ) NO 1785/81 OF 30 JUNE 1981 ON THE COMMON ORGANIZATION OF THE MARKETS IN THE SUGAR SECTOR ( 2 ) ,

- ( EEC ) NO 1784/81 OF 19 MAY 1981 AMENDING REGULATION ( EEC ) NO 2727/75 ON THE COMMON ORGANIZATION OF THE MARKET IN CEREALS ( 3 ) ,

RESULTS IN AMENDMENTS OF THE TARIFF NOMENCLATURE ;

WHEREAS THE " COMMON CUSTOMS TARIFF ANNEX TO REGULATION ( EEC ) NO 950/68 ( 4 ) , AS LAST AMENDED BY REGULATION ( EEC ) NO 853/81 ( 5 ) , SHOULD BE AMENDED ACCORDINGLY ,

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :

THE " COMMON CUSTOMS TARIFF " ANNEX TO REGULATION ( EEC ) NO 950/68 IS AMENDED AS FOLLOWS :

1 . ADDITIONAL NOTE 2 TO CHAPTER 17 IS REPLACED BY THE FOLLOWING :

" 2 . FOR THE PURPOSES OF SUBHEADING 17.02 D I , " ISOGLUCOSE " MEANS THE PRODUCT OBTAINED FROM GLUCOSE OR ITS POLYMERS WITH A CONTENT BY WEIGHT IN THE DRY STATE OF AT LEAST 10 % FRUCTOSE . "

2 . THE TEXT OF SUBHEADINGS 17.02 B AND F IS HEREBY REPLACED BY THE FOLLOWING :

THIS REGULATION SHALL ENTER INTO FORCE ON THE DAY OF ITS PUBLICATION IN THE OFFICIAL JOURNAL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES .

IT SHALL APPLY FROM 1 JULY 1981 .

THIS REGULATION SHALL BE BINDING IN ITS ENTIRETY AND DIRECTLY APPLICABLE IN ALL MEMBER STATES .
