Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/2002of 10 November 2015amending Annexes IC and V to Regulation (EC) No 1013/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council on shipments of waste(Text with EEA relevance) THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION,Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,Having regard to Regulation (EC) No 1013/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 June 2006 on shipments of wasteOJ L 190, 12.7.2006, p. 1., and in particular Article 58(1) thereof,Whereas:(1)Commission Regulation (EU) No 1357/2014Commission Regulation (EU) No 1357/2014 of 18 December 2014 replacing Annex III to Directive 2008/98/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on waste and repealing certain Directives (OJ L 365, 19.12.2014, p. 89). replacing Annex III to Directive 2008/98/EC of the European Parliament and of the CouncilDirective 2008/98/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 November 2008 on waste and repealing certain Directives (OJ L 312, 22.11.2008, p. 3). amends the hazardous properties of waste to align it with changes introduced by Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and of the CouncilRegulation (EC) No 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 December 2008 on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures, amending and repealing Directives 67/548/EEC and 1999/45/EC, and amending Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (OJ L 353, 31.12.2008, p. 1).. In this amendment, the hazardous properties H1-H15 are renamed to HP1-HP15 in order to avoid potential confusion with the hazard statement codes defined in Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. That Regulation applies from 1 June 2015.(2)Annex IC to Regulation (EC) No 1013/2006 providing specific instructions for completing the notification and movement documents makes reference to the old naming of the hazardous properties and therefore should be updated accordingly.(3)Commission Decision 2014/955/EUCommission Decision 2014/955/EU of 18 December 2014 amending Decision 2000/532/EC on the list of waste pursuant to Directive 2008/98/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council (OJ L 370, 30.12.2014, p. 44). replaces the wastes listed in the Annex to Commission Decision 2000/532/ECCommission Decision 2000/532/EC of 3 May 2000 replacing Decision 94/3/EC establishing a list of wastes pursuant to Article 1(a) of Council Directive 75/442/EEC on waste and Council Decision 94/904/EC establishing a list of hazardous waste pursuant to Article 1(4) of Council Directive 91/689/EEC on hazardous waste (OJ L 226, 6.9.2000, p. 3). to reflect technical and scientific progress. Decision 2014/955/EU applies from 1 June 2015.(4)Part 2 of Annex V to Regulation (EC) No 1013/2006 lists the wastes listed in the Annex to Decision 2000/532/EC. Following the amendment of Decision 2000/532/EC, Annex V to Regulation (EC) No 1013/2006 should be adjusted to those changes. Therefore, this Regulation should apply from the same date as Regulation (EU) No 1357/2014 and Decision 2014/955/EU.(5)Regulation (EC) No 1013/2006 should therefore be amended accordingly.(6)The measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Committee established by Article 39 of Directive 2008/98/EC,HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:
Article 1Annexes IC and V to Regulation (EC) No 1013/2006 are amended in accordance with the Annex to this Regulation.
Article 2This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.It shall apply from 1 June 2015.
