Regulation as amended by Regulation (EEC) No 2237/91 (OJ L 204, 27.7.1991, p. 11). has been substantially amendedSee Annex II.. In the interests of clarity and rationality the said Regulation should be codified.(2)In order to ensure the uniform classification of the carcases of adult bovine animals in the Community, it is necessary to make the definitions of classes of conformation and fat cover more precise.(3)The measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Management Committee for Beef and Veal,HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:
Article 1The additional provisions making the definitions of classes of conformation and fat cover more precise as referred to in the first paragraph of Article 6 of Regulation (EEC) No 1208/81 shall be as listed in Annex I to this Regulation.
Article 2Regulation (EEC) No 2930/81 is repealed.References to the repealed Regulation shall be construed as references to this Regulation and shall be read in accordance with the correlation table in Annex III.
Article 3This Regulation shall enter into force on the 20th day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
